The project consists of a system of pump stations and reservoirs connected by primary mains of different sizes. Two main pumping stations and six booster stations with a total length of 16.4 Km of primary lines, in addition to eight ground reservoirs with different capacities (1,000 – 12,000 m3) and five water towers, were constructed. The operation of pump stations and reservoirs is controlled by SCADA system. Chlorination facilities were installed, all network connections from the water towers and reservoirs have chlorination injection points, supplementary feed to the inlet of the reservoirs also included for emergency purposes. Surge protection measures are provided at each of the primary stations.
