Wastewater Reuse Project Nablus Lot 1 – Construction of NW/WWTP Tertiary Treatment Plant / Pressure Main / Irrigation Reservoir, ICB No. L1 23/01/63/2020

Scope of Works:
Nablus Wastewater Reuse Project aims make best use of the available treated wastewater (reclaimed water) from the existing Nablus West WWTP (NW-WWTP) for agricultural production with the target to:
•    maximize cropping, available cropping areas, and financial benefits to each of the stakeholders who are directly involved;
•    maximize use of the available reclaimed water and thereby reduce the quantities of treated effluent that are currently flowing across the Green Line into Israel and thus costs to be borne by the Palestinian Authorities; and
•    create employment opportunities and additional income for the local population.

Project (Lot)1 comprises mainly:
•    Tie-in upstream of the existing distribution outlet chamber (tag no. 261) and new tertiary treatment facilities at the NW-WWTP, mainly continuous sand-filtration, backwash blowers, filtered water tank, filtered water pump station and UV disinfection;
•    New pressure main DN 400 DI PN 16 to the irrigation reservoir near Burqa;
•    New ~3,300 m3 irrigation reservoir near Burqa including new access road, guard house and associated facilities; and
•    Western part of the new irrigation distribution system DN 550/400/350/180/110 which have been installed in the same trench as the new transmission main to the irrigation reservoir (above item 2).
