including all civil, electrical and mechanical works, operation, and maintenance training. 
The scope of the project comprises four segments of work as follows:

 A. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals required and demolish, modify, remove and dispose of work shown on the Drawings and as specified herein.
B. Included, but not limited to, are demolition, modifications and removal of existing materials, equipment or work necessary to install the new work as shown on the Drawings and as specified herein and to connect with existing work in approved manner.
C. Demolition, modifications and removals that may be specified under other Sections shall conform to requirements of this Section.
D. Demolition, removal, and modifications shall be accomplished in 2 phases and includes:
E. Phase I – This work can commence at any time after the Commencement Date subject to the required submittals and written approvals to commence the work as required herein.
1. WWTP concrete and bituminous pavement in roadways,
2. WWTP drying beds,
3. WWTP oxidation ditch and associated chambers, mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, piping and valves,
4. WWTP secondary clarifiers and associated chambers, mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, piping and valves,
5. WWTP gravity thickeners and associated chambers, mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, piping and valves,
6. WWTP administration building and associated appurtenances, mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, piping and valves,
7. WWTP lagoons to the limits required for construction of the secondary clarifiers, chlorine contact tank, chlorine building, TFSS, solids and electrical building, digestors, roadways, associated piping and electrical works and new drying beds at the WWTP lagoons including associated chambers, lining material, mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, piping and valves, and
8. All existing above and below grade structures, retaining walls, light poles and fixtures, above and below grade utilities and other man made site features shall be removed unless identified as Phase II or noted otherwise.
F. Phase II – This work can commence after the new WWTP is operational and the new emergency generator and transformer has been made operational for the transfer pump station subject to the required submittals and written approvals to commence the work as required herein.

1. WWTP headworks including overflow chamber, screening channel, grit channel, grease and oil removal areas and associated chambers, mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, piping and valves,
2. WWTP aeration tanks no 2 including mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, piping and valves, and associated chambers to 1000 mm below finished grade. The tank bottom shall be drilled to allow for drainage of rain water.
3. WWTP pad mounted transformer will remain the property of the utility company but the reinforced concrete pad requires removal under this contract, and
4. WWTP emergency generator and associated appurtenances, storage tank, mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, piping and valves.
G. Blasting and the use of explosions will not be permitted for any demolition work.
