Construction of Amman Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project – Package 8 and 9B (Omar Matar Street) and Package 9A (Fountain Square Terminal Station)

Scope of Work:

The project works includes:

Package 8 (Omar Matar Street):
Includes the construction of two bus lanes running along 1.5 km on the middle of Omar Matar Street in the Ras Al-Ein (downtown) area, adjacent to the Greater Amman Municipality headquarters and King Hussein Cultural complexes, Jordan’s Museum.

Improvements to both ends of the street, with an adjusted Layout For the western intersection (connecting to the third circle and Princess Basma Street) and the eastern intersection (Fountain Square), which represents a terminus for the BRT. This also include landscape works and is referred to Package 9B.
 

Package 9A: Fountain Square Terminal Station: 
includes the construction of Steel Structure Works of a bus station located at Fountain Square in Ras El Ain area of Amman and comprised of predominantly structural steel skeleton, with some cast in place reinforced concrete portions, complete with architectural finishes (such a tensile fabric roofing), MEP and landscape works.
