Al-Kafrain Water Supply Project

Project Description:

Kafrain Water Supply project is designed to provide 255 m3/h domestic water that complies with the Jordanian Drinking Water Standards. The project consists of the following:

Raw Water Collection:

Well pumping equipment (pumps, motors, etc.) in 3 existing Kafrein Wells including Control Room and site fencing at each . Approximately 5,200m of Ductile Iron Pipe well collector pipelines, diameters range from DN 150 to DN 600 with air release valves, gate valves, flow control valves, flow meters and other water collection elements. 500 m3 Reinforced concrete pressure break control tank with pump control instruments. Telemetry System between the well pumps, pressure break control tank, rate of flow control valve, the treated water reservoir and WTP operations control room

Water Treatment Plan:

A 255 m3/h Water Treatment Plant consisting of two parallel treatment trains consisting of aerators, flocculators / clarifier tanks & filter units, chemical addition, chlorine disinfection, electrical and instrumentation system, operations control building, chlorine / alum / blower building, site works / grading / demolition of existing abandoned buildings / fencing, 2000 m3 Reinforced Concrete and other specified items. The treatment objectives include removal of turbidity, iron, and hydrogen sulfide.
